Nyanga, Eastern Highlands, Zimbabwe – Going over my photo vault, I came across this photo of two friends conversing while enjoying their favorite drink. This photo was taken on the night we arrived in Nyanga National Park to spend a long weekend. At the time this photo was taken, I didn’t gave it a second look as I felt that the photo did not have enough strong technical qualities to it. The photo was grainy/noisy and the colors were just too warm (yellowing/orange) considering that this was around the start of the winter in Zimbabwe. However, looking back, this photo somehow summarizes my experience working and living in Zimbabwe for one year and five months. The significant experiences I had gone through while working and living in Zimbabwe revolved around conversations, around listening to different stories of people I’ve worked with, I’ve met and I’ve come to know.
