Badghis Province, Western Afghanistan — During a stop-over (for tea and snacks) in a village on my way to Qala-I-Naw, the capital town of Badghis Province in Western Afghanistan, I chanced upon several Afghan kids playing around outside the road side eatery. I decided to take some photos of them and when I took out my camera, they all started to play to the camera. I was lucky to have taken this shot of one of the boys. Rarely do Afghan men smile when a photo of them is taken (even if they request for their photo to be taken). I guess, children will be children wherever they are and regardless of race and religion. They simply enjoy the experience of being photographed.
