Ewanrigg Botanical Garden, Harare, Zimbabwe — Taken during an afternoon walk inside the Ewanrigg Botanical Garden in Harare. Together with colleagues from the office and friends from the expatriate community of Harare, we agreed to do an afternoon walk with some drinks after. For this particular walk, I deviated from the group and lagged behind because I decided to focus my picture-taking on details of the various flora found in the garden.

What used to be a really beautiful garden has now (at the time we visited the place) been showing signs of decay. Due in most part to the hyper-inflationary economy of the country, government and the private sector do not have the necessary resources to keep the garden in good shape.

  1. unsaon ni xa pagkuha jas? slr ni nga camera?

    • Hi Nen, Yes used an SLR for this shot. I don’t remember now how this was taken. All I remember is that I was shooting very close to the subject and my shutter speed was a bit slow. the shot was taken handheld (no tripod). I guess the blurry part is caused by a slight camera shake. Regards, Jasper
